Directions to
the Campus
From
Massachusetts and Points North
Take I-95 South to Providence; exit at Atwells Avenue. Turn right (west)
onto Atwells Avenue and follow for 1.5 miles, then turn right (at
hilltop) onto Mt. Pleasant Avenue. Entrance to the College is 1.2 miles
ahead on the left.
From
the Northwest
Take Massachusetts Turnpike to I-495 South, then take I-95 South to
Providence; exit at Atwells Avenue. Turn right (west) onto Atwells
Avenue and follow for 1.5 miles, then turn right (at hilltop) onto Mt.
Pleasant Avenue. Entrance to the College is 1.2 miles ahead on the left.
From
Connecticut and Points West Via Route 6
Follow US-6 East toward Providence. Or take US-44 East to I-295 South
and exit to US-6 East. Follow US-6 East to RI-128 Killingly Street exit.
Turn left onto Killingly Street and continue to end. Turn right onto
Manton Avenue and follow to traffic light. At light, turn left onto
Fruit Hill Avenue. Entrance to the campus is approximately one-half mile
ahead on the right.
From
New Jersey and Points South
From the south, take I-95 North to Providence, take the Broadway exit to
second traffic light, turn onto Atwells Avenue and follow for 1.5 miles,
then turn right (at hilltop) onto Mt. Pleasant Avenue. Entrance to the
College is 1.2 miles ahead on the left.
From
the Cape and Points East
Take I-195 West to I-95 North to Providence. Take the Broadway exit to
second traffic light, turn onto Atwells Avenue and follow for 1.5 miles,
then turn right (at hilltop) onto Mt. Pleasant Avenue. Entrance to the
College is 1.2 miles ahead on the left.
Local
Bus Schedule from Providence
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority operates bus service from
downtown Providence to the Rhode Island College Campus. Bus routes
marked with a "C" refer to the No. 56 route (Chalkstone Ave.)
and the bus routes marked with an "OR" also operate to the
O'Rouke Center (bldg. 1). Buses leaving the College may be boarded at
either Roberts Hall or Henry Barnard School. Call RIPTA at (401)
