A workshop is more in-depth than a tutorial. Preferably, it involves active learning activities (hands-on or "pen-and-paper" exercises). The presenter is an "expert" in the field. Workshops are usually 3 hours long, and are held before the conference. Abstracts of accepted workshops will be published in the Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges, which is included in the ACM Digital Library. Workshop abstracts must not exceed a length of two single spaced pages.
Workshop abstracts must include:
- A descriptive title
- Email and U.S. mail address for the contact person for the workshop
- A detailed description of the workshop
- Short biography of the workshop presenter. The biography may go beyond the two page abstract limit, in which case the biographies should be removed when submitting the camera-ready copy, which must not exceed two pages
Workshop Abstract Submission Deadline: December 5, 2011
