CCSCNE 2012 Presenters Page

Congratulations on having your paper/proposal/abstract (for a panel or tutorial) accepted for presentation at CCSCNE 2012.

If you have any problems with this process please contact editor@ccscne.org

1. Web-Based Paper Submission:

Submit each of the following items using the CCSCNE Final Copy Submission Page so as to reach the CCSCNE Editor by January 31, 2012

  1. Your paper/proposal/abstract as one formatted file, which includes any embedded figures. Please use a 12pt font and follow the instructions contained in the General Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation and the Manuscript Formatting documents. Any questions regarding formatting instructions should be directed to John Meinke at meinkej@faculty.ed.umuc.edu.

Your proposal must be submitted as both a Word document and a PDF file. Note that TeX and LaTeX are not accepted. Name your file with the first 5 characters of your last name, plus the file extension (e.g. johns.doc, johns.pdf)

  2. For each figure in the paper/proposal/abstract, include a separate file containing the original figure. The figures may be in any popular format (such as TIFF, BMP, PIC, GIF). If you do not include a file for each figure the figure may not appear in the proceedings! Name your files as fig1.pic, fig2.bmp, fig3.gif, etc.

  3. A PDF form of your paper/proposal/abstract. If this is not possible then submit a plain ASCII text form of your paper/proposal/abstract (minus any figures, of course). This file will be used to re-create your paper/proposal/abstract if the above files cannot be used. Name your file with the first 5 characters of your last name, plus the pdf extension (e.g. johns.pdf).

2. Copyright Form:

A completed copy of the copyright form must be emailed to the CCSCNE Editor and received by January 31, 2012. All co-authors must complete a copyright form; however, all signatures need not appear on the same form. Note that the same form is used for all types of submissions (papers, tutorials, panels, workshops, demos, posters).

  1. Download the Copyright Form.
  2. Follow the instructions on the first page; fill in and sign the appropriate sections. All authors must sign parts I and IV.
  3. Scan and save as a pdf.
  4. Send the completed pdf to the CCSCNE Editor Mike Gousie at mgousie@wheatoncollege.edu.
Submissions will not be included in the proceedings until the appropriate copyright form(s) are received.

3. Registration:

Registration must be completed by January 31, 2012. For authors of Faculty posters, this deadline is February 9, 2012.

Papers/Abstracts will not be included in the proceedings until registration fee is received.

In order to maintain minimal registration fees for the conference, there are no complimentary registrations for speakers, moderators, panelists or members of the Steering Committee. It is therefore essential that speakers', moderators', and panelists' registrations be received prior to assembly of the Proceedings, which will be available at the conference.

In addition, please note that:
